Chicago Fire Negotiating for Jonathan Bamba to Strengthen Attack

Chicago Fire are also looking for reinforcements and are currently negotiating with Celta de Vigo for attacker Jonathan Bamba, to break the 2025 market.

This 28-year-old footballer, originally from the Ivory Coast, has had a notable career in Europe, especially in France with LOSC Lille, where he shone before making the jump to the Spanish League with Celta de Vigo.

Recently, Bamba has shown his ability in important matches, even scoring a goal against Real Madrid in the Copa del Rey.

Jonathan Bamba a difference-maker who wants the MLS

He has reportedly rejected offers from Turkey and Saudi Arabia, showing a clear interest in joining the MLS, which would be a big coup for Chicago Fire.

His arrival could bring a much-needed offensive dynamic, helping the team compete at a higher level, as he has generated in his year-on-year statistics as shown by Transfermark.

If the transfer goes through, Bamba could be a key piece for Chicago Fire, looking to establish themselves as one of the most competitive teams in MLS in 2025.

With his European experience and offensive talent, he could make a difference in the team’s attack.
