With less than 12 days before the beginning of the MLS season, many clubs are starting to play their preseason games, while others are still searching to reinforce their team.

Columbus Crew started their friendly match in the worst possible way. On the other side, San Diego is having an impressive preseason.

FC Cincinnati is on both sides of that line. Even though they played two friendly games, they are still searching the market for new additions.

The Orange and Blue look to strengthen their offense with a Portland Timbers player.

However, FC Cincinnati can’t move their pieces to sign this footballer because of Lucho Acosta’s situation.

FC Dallas and San Jose Earthquakes are the two MLS teams in serious talks for the former MVP.

Nevertheless, FC Cincinnati wants this matter resolved so they can pursue the signing of Evander.

What team should Lucho Acosta join?

FC Dallas has a more complete roster in the midfield position. They had covered almost every place with two players. However, the club must replace the departure of Alan Velasco to Boca Juniors.

Lucho Acosta is not comfortable playing on the side. He develops his best football in the middle when he is with the ball.

the player who will compete with Acosta for a place in the starting lineup played 31 matches last season.

This player is Sebastian Lletglet, former LA Galaxy. The 31-year-old has been a key piece in the coach’s scheme. Acosta will have a difficult task going into the starting formation.

FC Dallas finished 11 in the West Conference, missing seven points to make it into the playoffs.

On the other hand, we have the San Jose Earthquakes. The club finished last in the West conference with 21 points. Regardless, the most suitable place for Acosta.

It is no news that Hernan Lopez Muños has few days left with the team. His move back to Argentina is imminent. This situation could benefit the former MVP because they play in the same position.

With similar characteristics, Lucho Acosta could be the replacement for Muñoz with ease. The Quakes know he is the right guy for the team, but the talks are slow.

The boys in blue will feel like their offensive midfielder never left. Acosta is older than Lopez Muños, but his experience in the MLS will benefit the team. It is an upgrade for the San Jose Earthquakes rather than a downgrade.

Now, Lucho Acosta has a desicion to make. He goes to a more competitive club but fights for a spot or plays in last year’s worst team but in his natural position.
