Just like what happened with Lionel Messi’s arrival at Inter Miami or Marcos Reus with LA Galaxy, the MLS is again in the eye of the storm.

But this time, Inter Miami takes zero part in this rumor. We have to drag ourselves to the north, in Illinois.

Once you get there, you have to go to Chicago, then find the club interested in Neymar, the Chicago Fire.

Chicago Fire reportedly interested in Neymar Jr

Yes, just like you read it. Chicago Fire wants to sign the all-time Brazilian goal scorer Neymar Jr, according to Foot Mercato.

Around mid-October, the ex-PSG player has been linked with a move to Inter Miami. David Beckham wanted to bring the lethal trio that ruled in FC Barcelona.

However, Neymar was connected with many clubs. One was his childhood club, Santos. Many people affirmed that Neymar would leave the Saudi Arabian League to join Santos, but it was just a rumor.

This week, an advance happened by the Chicago Fire to try and sign Neymar Jr.

What will the Fire expect from Neymar if he arrives?

Last season, the Chicago Fire ended up last in the Eastern Conference with 30 points. Ten points away from the playoffs.

Far from their best version, the Men in Red faced many challenges throughout the season. One of those is a part of the list of teams with the least amount of goals in the season. The Fire scored 40 goals in 34 matches played.

If Neymar Jr arrives at the Chicago team, every fan expects the same. They hope that the same thing Messi did with Inter Miami, Neymar could replicated with their team.

Because, let’s be honest, everybody knows the talent of the Brazilian forward. Discussing Neymar’s shooting and dribbling skills and other technical aspects is not worth the time. But not everything is bright colors with players like Messi or Neymar.

They expect Neymar to bring his “A” game and help Chicago win trophies or make them a top-tier team.

However, his arrival will mean that the Men in Red will present a significant amount of money to maintain his salary.
